ByteMail for Windows
====================

1. Run ByteMail.exe. It appears in the notification area beside the clock, and
   it has no window of its own. That is what it is meant to look like.

2. Open Settings from the tray icon and add an API key. DeepSeek, OpenAI,
   Google, Anthropic, Groq, xAI and Perplexity are on the list, and a model
   running on this PC needs no key at all.

3. Highlight the email you want to answer - in Outlook, in Gmail in a browser,
   in Word, anywhere - and press Ctrl+Alt+R. A panel opens over the message and
   writes the reply in your voice.

4. Ctrl+Shift+C copies the finished reply, and Ctrl+Enter puts it back over the
   text you selected. Anything marked [[GAP_1]] is a fact only you can supply:
   fill those in and Copy unlocks.

Nothing is ever sent. ByteMail writes text for you to paste into the mail
client you already trust.

If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", that is SmartScreen noticing a
program without a commercial code-signing certificate. Choose More info, then
Run anyway. It appears once.

Your settings, your key and your learned style live in
%APPDATA%\ByteMind\ByteMail, and nothing there is sent anywhere.
